Hideki Yoshimura continued to pioneer the Japanese alternative rock scene with bloodthirsty butchers until his sudden death on May 27, 2013. "Selected Solo Works" was originally released on CD on January 20, 2015 as the final volume of 7e.p.'s 10th anniversary project "7e.p. presents 7solo", and now on vinyl for the first time on May 27, 2023, the 10th death anniversary of Yoshimura. Also finally officially released as digital format, exclusively at Bandcamp.

300 copies limited Clear vinyl + single sleeve, redesigned by Motofumi Nakashima, who did the original artwork. Sold exclusively through 7e.p.'s mail order and Bandcamp page, the butchers' official mail order store.

2013年5月27日の急逝に到るまで、bloodthirsty butchersを率い日本のオルタナティヴ・ロック・シーンを切り拓き続けた吉村秀樹。その生前のソロ・ワークスをコンパイルし、7e.p.のレーベル10周年企画「7e.p. presents 7solo」の一環として2015年1月20日にCDリリースされた『Selected Solo Works』が、吉村の没後10周年となる2023年5月27日に初のアナログ化。さらにBandcamp限定で正式にデジタルリリースも開始。

CDヴァージョンから新たに編集し、サウンド・メイカーとしての側面により焦点を当てた内容。唯一無二という表現が何の誇張もなく用いられるべきギター・プレイをフィーチャーした親密な雰囲気に包まれたインストゥルメンタル・トラックからは、ブッチャーズ・サウンドの最大の魅力として常に豪放さと共にあった繊細さとメロウネスを存分に堪能できる。

オリジナル・アートワークを手がけた中島基文氏自らリデザインした、クリア・ヴァイナル＋シングル・スリーヴ仕様。初回完全限定生産300枚＋全国流通無しで、7e.p.の通販とBandcampページおよびブッチャーズのオフィシャル通販ストアBelieve Music Storeでの限定販売。

ブッチャーズのトリビュート集に谷口健（fOUL）とのデュオとして自ら参加したA1、300枚限定で自主制作された片面のみ7"収録曲A2（2015年のCD版リリース後に正式タイトルが"nocturne"と判明）、KO（SLANG）を中心とした東日本大震災支援プロジェクトに賛同し、同プロジェクトの為に書き下ろしたチャリティーCD「吉村秀樹×浅野忠信×竹林現動×NBC作戦」収録曲（A3~B3）とオリジナルは軒並み廃盤状態の貴重なトラックをコンパイル。竹林現動(zArAme、ex-cowpers、ex-SPIRAL CHORD)のペンによる、吉村・竹林・田渕ひさ子の演奏によるB3は、ブッチャーズ後期のライブのSEとして使用されていた。
