Sendai's own yumbo's 3rd original album is considered as "another debut album" of the band in some ways. Featuring new vocalist Ayuko Takayanagi and multi-track recording for the first time. More vivid, colorful and dynamic than their previous releases. Contains live favorites like "lonely", "come away, death", "surfin" and the title track.

前作『明滅と反響』より5年振りとなるオリジナル3rdアルバム。新ヴォーカリスト高柳あゆ子をフィーチャーし、バンド史上初（！）の本格的なマルチ・トラック・レコーディングによる、「もう一つのデビュー・アルバム」とも呼ぶべきyumbo入門編として決定的な一枚。

全作詞作曲＆アレンジを手掛ける澁谷浩次以下、計6人のメンバーに大量のゲスト・プレイヤーを迎え、トレードマークの一つでもある金管楽器に加えて、ストリングス、コーラス隊もフィーチャーした、かつてないほどにカラフルで滋味に富んだサウンド。全15曲70分、充実の超大作。全てライヴの定番曲となった"さみしい”からタイトル・トラックに至る最終盤の流れは白眉。
