ポストクラシカル、ジャズ、ポップ、インディ・ロック等々いずれのジャンルにも当てはまらない、ノスタルジックでリリシズム溢れる独自の音世界を紡ぎ続けるグラスゴー在住のコンポーザー／アレンジャー／マルチ・プレイヤー、ビル・ウェルズ。卓越したタッチを聴かせるピアノを基盤にしたトリオ、オクテット、ビッグ・バンドなど様々な編成でのリーダー作や、マヘル・シャラル・ハシュ・バズ、ヨ・ラ・テンゴ、ジャド・フェア、ティーンエイジ・ファンクラブ、ディアフーフ、パステルズ、エイダン・モファット（元アラブ・ストラップ）、TAPE、イザベル・キャンベル（元ベル・アンド・セバスチャン）らとの数多くのコラボレーション、そして近年は複数のヴォーカリストをフィーチャーしたユニット、ナショナル・ジャズ・トリオ・オブ・スコットランドなど、多彩な活動歴を誇る。ビル・ウェルズ作品のカバー・アルバム『ホープ・ユー・アー・ウェルズ』を発表したテニスコーツをはじめ日本人音楽家達との交流も深い。

そんなビル・ウェルズの日本限定リリース企画である「夢」シリーズ。唄以外の全ての演奏をビル自身が手がけ、各1分程度の掌編が組曲の様に構成された連作で、これまでに『サマー・ドリームス』(2014年）、『オータム・ドリームス』の2作が発表済み。両作ともに現在に至るまで静かなロングセラーとなっている。

そして、ナショナル・ジャズ・トリオ・オブ・スコットランドのローナ・ギルフェダーとのコラボレーションによるうたものアルバムを間に挟んで、実に4年ぶりとなる「夢」シリーズ第３弾が登場。勿論今回も全ての演奏はビル・ウェルズ自身によるもので、新ヴォーカリスト、オードリーの柔らかで心地良い歌声をフィーチャー。前２作同様に12の掌編が始めから終わりまで組曲の様に見事に流れていく、またしてもエンドレス再生必至な逸品。
